We formed a Trekkers local group ” Trekkers 360″. We were 23 in total who came from diverse backgrounds but the universe has indeed conspired to bring us together for THE Love of NATURE and the MOUNTAINS.

In our treks we discover more than the beauty of of nature, we discover ourselves and find forging new found friendship.

While in the mountains we started small campaigns like cleaning up trekking routes , medical camps for the highlanders, Awareness for school children on basic necessities and developed close relationship with the community there.

I have personally trekked almost 80% of the treks in Bhutan and now awaiting one of the most toughest one ” The Snowman trek” to be completed by next year.

Druk Path Trek

I personally have done this moderate trek almost 5 times and all in different seasons. This route actually takes you from Paro to Thimphu however through thick alpine jungles, beautiful pine trees, various rhododendron trees and spectacular lakes along with mountains.

Normally it always advised to start from Paro and end in Thimphu. During clear skies , you will be fortunate to see the Himalayan ranges like the Gangkar Phuensum ( the world’s highest unclimbed mountain) and Mount Jhomolhari .

The Lonely Planet describes the Druk Path Trek as “One of the most scenic and popular treks in Bhutan, following a wilderness trail past several remote lakes. Although it is a short trek, it still goes to a high altitude making it moderately strenuous.

Best Season: March – June / Sept – November Highest Altitude : 4200 meters Camp nights : 4 nights

Jumolhari loop Trek

6 days 7 nights  .

Jomolhari Loop is the shortest of the Jomolhari trekking routes, which are the most popular treks in Bhutan.

With altitude differences of 2,500m and nearly 5,000m it offers a wide range of landscapes, fauna and flora. The highlight of this trek is the spectacular view of Mount Jomolhari from Jomolhari Basecamp (Jangothang).

Trekkers who want to avoid high passes and high altitude can chose an easier version of the Jomolhari Loop by retracing their steps from Jangothang (see days 1-3), while still having the majestic impressions of Mount Jomolhari..
